Rakkasah East October 13 - 19, 2008 Surayyah performing live to Pangia on Sat. 10/18 at 6:34pm This is the annual festival held in Somerset, NJ at the Ukrainian Cultural Center.   There is a full week of workshops offered and a festival Friday night, Saturday & Sunday that is packed with performers and vendors.  For more info visit www.rakkasah.com.  Click on Rakkasah East.

Surayyah Presents - Belly Dancers for Second Harvest Nov 2th at the Roxy Theater in Northampton This event is hosted by Surayyah to help Second Harvest Food Bank provide food & basic necessities to needy people across the holidays.  50% of every ticket sold will go to Second Harvest.   For more information CLICK HERE

Surayyah's April Fools Hafla Either Fri April 3 or Sat April 4 This event will be held at the Li'l Wolf Community Center in Orefield, PA 18069.   This is a completly fun show.  This is in the very begining stages but there is to be no "serious" dancing.  Something about each performance must be purely fun.   Either an unusual song, unusual prop, none typical costuming (but a costume of some sort is still required!).  This show is free & please bring your own snacks.   Some drinks will be available.  If interested in performing please let me know.

NJ Belly Dancing's 2nd Annual Event Saturday Nov 8th from 6pm - 11pm Held at the Flemington Elks Lodge, Rte 31 South, Flemington, NJ.  Admission is $10 and a humble dish of beverage for the party.  Kids 10 & under are free.  All profits go to the Susan G. Mystery of the Sword Workshop Sunday October 5, 2008 from 12:00 - 2:30pm Held at 912 Main St. Stroudsburg, PA with Helena.  All levels welcome!This workshop will focus on balance drills, basic moves with sword and choreography.
